Free Sensor Kits for Manufacturers: Empowering the Digitization of the U.S. Industrial Sector

VoxSomnia and MxD Partnership

VoxSomnia is thrilled to be partnered with MxD to deliver an approachable solution to manufacturers for machine data collection and alert systems. The MxD sensor box (patent pending) is equipped with four analog and four digital inputs and a wide range of compatible sensors. Typical sensors include (but are not limited to):

  • Pressure
  • Liquid level
  • Temperature
  • Current
  • Vibration

With this program, the VoxSomnia team will come to your facility to help you determine your best-fit use case for the sensor box and sensors. Then, the VoxSomnia team will place your kit order with MxD and return to your facility to do 100% of the installation, configuration, and user training. All of this is at no cost to manufacturers!

Curious about how companies are using their free kits? See examples below:

CNC Monitoring

Monitoring various aspects of CNC machines is the most common use-case so far. Many CNC’s do not come equipped with sensing equipment to alert the operator of potential issues before they happen.

  • Liquid level sensors are excellent for alerting the operator when the coolant in the tank is too low or when the oil and coolant reservoir is too full and about to spill over.
  • Pressure sensors in the shop air line alert operators when there is a decline in air pressure that may cause the machine to have issues holding tools or holding components in place during machining operations.
  • Vibration sensors aid in making sure there is no excessive vibration in the machining process that may damage the tools, or the component being machined.

3D Printer Monitoring

Vibration sensors on a 3D printer alert the operator if the print job is causing excessive vibration, which could compromise the integrity of the printed part. This is especially critical when there are multiple printers in close proximity.

Vinyl Record Manufacturing

Infrared sensors, paired with the sensor kit, play a critical role in the machining of custom vinyl records at Freestyle Vinyl. Click here to learn more about this unique use-case.
